Empty Classroom Day – May 2017

Thursday 18th May the school building was strangely quiet. Year 6 were at Phasels Wood, and the other classrooms were empty too.  Outdoors however it was a hive of activity, as Year 3 Warhol played a game to learn how bees communicate with each other. There was phonics on the field and playground, maths problem solving in the courtyard, and reading in the Inspirational Shed. Year 4 Monet also visited the Inspirational Shed to write acrostic poems on a sacred theme in RE.  The Year 5 classes took their English lessons outside, with open-air dictation and a conscience alley on the playground. The weather was kind and we look forward to a lot more outdoor learning this term.
