K’Nex Challenge – June 2016

On Wednesday 8th June, Team Lowry were lucky enough to have a retired engineer, who volunteered his time to come and run the K-Nex Challenge. This was a great experience and the children were set the task of creating a catapult that could propel a ping-pong ball over a specified height. All the children tried their best to create the most effective design during the morning, collaborating in pairs and sharing ideas. At the end of the morning, each of the pairs were able to showcase their designs and try their luck against the wall. There were some very successful constructions. Well done to the winners and  congratulations to all of Team Lowry for giving it their best efforts!
