Y6 visit Hemel Fire Station – October 2017

Year 6 learn how to keep themselves and others safe:

Y6 Riley and Nevelson visited Hemel Hempstead Fire Station where they had an interesting morning learning about how to keep themselves and their families safe in a range of situations that they may encounter in everyday life. They learnt about road safety, electrical hazards in the home and the environment, drug safety, and how to put someone into the recovery position. It was a lot to absorb in a short amount of time but many children said they were happy that they now know more about the risks around them and how to deal with such situations.
