Afternoon Tea for the Queens Jubilee – May 2022

On Thursday 26th May we invited local Senior Citizens to join us for afternoon tea to celebrate the Jubilee and life after Covid. Senior Citizens who live nearby our school including residents of Shaftesbury Court and St Marys Church and Northchurch Baptist were invited, as well as our Governors. Well done to our Year 6 children who served tea, sandwiches and cakes for all to enjoy! In addition, our visitors were entertained by both the choir and Year 6 singing to them. The guests commented on what a wonderful time they had, many of which had not attended any event since the first lockdown.

‘Dear Westfield ,

Would you please say a big thank you to everyone who organised and took part in the tea afternoon today?  My 99 year old mother and I both really enjoyed it and thought the children were so lovely, friendly and talented.  They did the school proud.  For my mother it was the first occasion she had been invited to since the first lockdown so it was a very special treat.  We both enjoyed the delicious tea, the entertainment and all your decorations.

Many thanks’
