On the 30th September, Matisse journeyed back in time to The Stone Age. On arrival, they built themselves a den from branches and grass before foraging for food. Whilst foraging they learned which foods are safe to eat and some of their other uses. Then they ground leaves and herbs to make a leaf soup for their guide’s lunch. After lunch, they had a demonstration of flint knapping and learned how The Stone Age people used their flint tools and weapons. Finally, they hunted mammoths with their ‘spears’ (sticks) before trading their gold coins for gifts to bring home. What a wonderful day! Thank you WISPA for funding the coach for this trip.
