Thank you to the whole Westfield community for supporting the School council to celebrate Children in Need on Friday 13th November, by wearing sporty clothes and donating a £1. During the week the children also took part in the Joe Wicks ‘5 to Thrive’ events, reminding them again of the 5 simple ways that they can support their own well-being. Congratulations everyone for helping us raise £235.49 for this worthwhile charity
On the afternoon of Children in Need the whole school community met, social distanced on the new track, where the Sports leaders led each class in a work out. Afterwards , we held our official ‘ opening ‘ celebration of the Daily Mile track , where Mrs Stace cut a ribbon and then the Sports leaders and School council ran two laps of the track while the rest of the children danced and clapped to the music ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams. This certainly gave the whole Westfield team the feel good factor and it was so lovely to be able to do it together! Finally each class ran, class by class on the track to leave the celebration to the music ‘ Proud’ echoing how proud we are of how they have all returned so well to school life after lockdown.
