In April we wanted to shine a spotlight on how we are further developing our outside environment, by involving the children in taking responsibility to grow and care for plants around our school site.
A particular thank you to Team Monet, our Year 4 children for taking responsibility for our Sensory garden this year. Here are some photos they would like to share with you…
Thank you also to the children in Nursery and Reception for sowing seeds and planting their raised beds- we look forward to watching these grow over the term.
We would also like to say a VERY big thank you for the generosity of our Year 1 parents for their kind donations of plants, pots and soil this week. Team Mondrian, our Year 1 children have thoroughly enjoyed starting to transform the Year 1/2 shared outside space – already learning so many gardening tips from Mrs Cheshire and Mrs Young as well as mini-beast hunting!
We certainly will have many ‘green fingers’ by the end of the year!
