Year 3/4 Football Tournament
On Saturday 11th May, it was a great honour and pleasure to take two mixed teams of boys and girls from Year 3 and 4 to the annual South Hill Football tournament. During the morning, the teams played a number of matches against other local Dacorum schools, each game showing real team spirit, hard work, determination and resilience. This effort resulted in one of our teams getting into the semis and the other in to the final where they battled hard until the whistle coming runners up in both matches. Well done to the following children- Alexa, Alfie, Ollie, Renee, Frank, Nicholas, Luke, Ellen, Brooke, Jack, Daniel, George, and Seb. I was incredibly proud of all you all! Thank you also to the parents and carers who supported the children on the day and to Mr Baker and Mr Huhn for running the teams.
At the end of last term, All Stars Cricket in partnership with Northchurch Cricket Club delivered taster sessions for children in Years 1-3. The coaches were very impressed with the skills many of the children displayed. Northchurch offer courses for all ages throughout the summer.
Year 5 enjoyed participating in the Dacorum School Network Tag Rugby festival at Camelot.
“The Tag Rugby was really fun and active which I did not expect. Everyone there was really supportive as well.” Sophie
Daily Mile Track
We hope to have this installed the first week after half term and to launch it with parents and carers as part of our next Open learning morning on Friday 7th June. Please search out those trainers and pencil the date in the diary and help us to promote the importance of getting active with our children- one of the ‘5 Ways to wellbeing.’
