On Wednesday 10th November, Year 5 Team Boyce went on an exciting trip that enabled them to live the WW2 Evacuee Experience. They visited a bombed-out London street, toured the 1940’s rooms, saw the Dig for Victory garden, handle and used artefacts and clothing from the period, took part in drill sessions and air raid procedures, fought fires and more. They had a fantastic day and it really brought everything to life that they have learnt about in class regarding The Blitz and World War Two.
