On 7th October, Year 6 spent an interesting and informative morning at Hemel Hempstead Fire Station with “Crucial Crew”, a team of experts from the emergency services. The children were shown how to identify potential dangers in everyday situations and environments. These included cycling on busy roads, fire hazards in the home, keeping safe near water, safe use of medicinal drugs and responsible behaviour near railways. They learnt how to safeguard and protect themselves and others in all these situations. The staff commented on how focused and well behaved the children were at these sessions. Well done Year 6 for being true ambassadors of Westfield – we are very proud of you!
