Year 3 children took a step back in time to prehistoric Britain on Wednesday 23rd October. The children enjoyed a day, re-enacting Stone Age life, which included prehistory cooking – collecting plants and berries in the woods and cooking up a delicious soup. They participated in building their own dens with a strong structure to protect them from the elements. They also enjoyed exploring flint tools and hunting using animal targets to practice their hunting skills. The entrepreneurial skills of us all was put to the test during a unique opportunity to trade and role play using real artefacts as hunters and gatherers to exchange goods of different values.
