We enjoyed our history day where we went back in time to become children in a Victorian school. We wrote with chalk on chalkboards, had a hand inspection, chanted and copied for our learning, we even wore the dunce cap and had the cane (pretend only!) We spent time looking at clothes, pictures and objects from this period and thought about what was the same as our school now and what was different and why this was.
