If you decide you would like to apply for a place at our school, you will need to apply through the Admissions department of the Local Education Authority. We do not handle our own admissions or have any influence over who is, or is not, offered a place from Reception to Year 6. Parents moving to the area are advised to phone the school to discuss admission procedures.

Admissions procedure
The school and Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) operates two separate admission systems for Nursery and Reception. This means that the offer of a place in Nursery does not guarantee a place in school.
Nursery – In Year 2025/26
From 26th April 2025 onwards, we can continue to accept applications and allocate Nursery places to children, based on availability. If you would like to apply for a place please contact the school office and complete the application form below.

Reception
Children are accepted into school in the September of the school year they are 5. For more information regarding applying for a place at Westfield Primary School please visit the Hertfordshire County Council website.
In Year Applications
An application to move between schools straight away (or within a few weeks) is known as an In Year application. This is when a child wishes to transfer to another school outside of the usual transfer time, for example because of a change of address.
