In Year 5 over the last 6 weeks we have been visited by PC Carter, delivering the Mini Police Programme.  The topics discussed were road safety, anti-social behaviour, littering and internet safety.  The finale was a visit from the Police van!  Year 5 were able to try on uniforms including helmets, riot shields and hand cuffs!  They had great fun sitting in the driver’s seat and turning on the siren, they even got to sit in the back like a prisoner.  A highlight was using the speeding gun to see how fast they could run across the playground!
