On Tuesday 14th November Westfield Mixed Football Team had their first fixture against St Cuthbert Mayne School.
We unfortunately lost 13-0 , however we were very proud of our Westfield players once they got into the swing of the game, they were evenly matched.
Charlie made some fantastic saves in goal, Ronnie showed a great positive attitude and was persistent with his chasing down of the opposition, Jude and Finn showed some strong defensive qualities and the determination showed by Maya, Sam, Avery and Chayse was brilliant to see. Jayden and Edward grew into the game, had some nice moments which I hope will fill them with confidence in their next match.
All the children went to shake hands after the game without my prompting and should be proud of themselves.
